Massive dome pitched to solve lack of winter pool space in Hamilton

The Hamilton City Council can’t afford to build a new swimming pool – but they can afford to put a $6 million dome over the under-used outdoor pool at Waterworld. That is, if residents approve of the idea in the council’s forthcoming draft long term plan. The council wants to address a severe shortage of swim space in the city by putting a seasonal dome over the lido pool at the aquatic facility on Garnett Ave.
